Put on the shine for 1979 and get your entry in now for the haulac class of CM 's famous Livery Competition
ARTICULATED VEHICLE operators are invited to enter the next class of CM's Livery Competition, for vehicles operating at between 20 and 32 tons gross.
It is open to both haulage and own-account operators on domestic operation and to any operator in Europe. The livery need not be new but it is important that the vehicle is clean before photography.
The rules of entry are simple. The cost is minimal, the advantages to the winner and those who achieve commendations self-evident. This is how to enter: 0 Submit four 35mm colour tranparencies showing the front, rear and both sides of the vehicles; Send a £5.00 remittance with each entry; Enter all the details asked for on the official entry form; [J Ensure that the entry is at this office not later than 12 noon on May 4.
The winner will receive a silver salver and other entries may receive diplomas of commendation at the judges' discretion.
The judging panel is made up of a group of distinguished and knowledgeable designers. They are widely experienced in their field and spend much time in the selection process. Their criticism is constructive and even those who fail to gain an award frequently benefit from the panel's comments.
The object of the competition is to reward operators for their' efforts to show the better face Of road transport and to assist them in their endeavours.
It is wise to engage the services of a professional photographer, who will help to make the most of the entry.
The winner will be announced on June 22 in CM and at a presentation at a suitable venue on the
same day.
