A MAJOR boost to road hauliers' business in northern Scotland has been served by the opening of the Cromarty Bridge link on the A9.
Scottish Office minister of state Gregor Mackenzie opened the bridge last week, which cuts out one of the main diversions on the coastal route north of Inverness.
The Government has agreed in principle to a bridge across the Dornoch Firth which will reduce journey times further.
