IS 102ft long merchant schooner, built in the 1890s and ghing 122 tons, was recently moved from Belfast to the ter Transport Museum at CuItra.
he 90ft trailer was imported from Italy specially for the job I was used because of its 200-ton capacity and its ability to k itself up under the load and take the weight.
t has 11 axles each with eight wheels which are all selfring, and was supplied by Fruehauf Northern Ireland.
Volvo F12 tractive unit was used to pull the trailer, and the Tall length of the train, including the load, totalled more than ft.
:scorted by police vehicles, the outfit travelled at 5mph and k six hours to complete the journey to the museum.
