TONY RANSOME has been appointed distribution director of Polycell Products.
Mr Ransome, who joined Polycell in 1971 as a graduate management trainee, is responsible for the distribution of the company's products in the UK and Ireland through six depots.
Greater Manchester Transport is to have a new director of operations. Jack Thompson will take over this position from James Batty, who retired at the end of this year. In his new role Mr Thompson, who is currently director of integrated operations, will have overall responsibility for Greater Mahcester's bus services.
Peter Lutman, at present traffic manager of National Bus subsidiary Oxford-South Midland is to take up a new appointment next month.
He has been seconded for a period of about two and a half. years to manage a market analysis project for NBC's consultancy services division.
