Replying to a series of questions on the examination and maintenance of diesels, from Dr. Alan Thompson (Lab., Dunfermline), the Minister said that the possibility of further efforts to bring home the importance of correct maintenance and adjustment of the engine was under investigation. This, he said, would be in addition to the steps taken by manufacturers' servicing organizations and the " education " work done by his technical staff.
