II Applied Distribution is to review an annual 4750,000. worth of work by eight regional subcontractors in the next three months after acquiring a fiveyear, multi-million-pound contract with Sara Lee.
The company will not name the eight subcontractors.
Sara Lee has contracted out all distribution management of its household and personal-care brands to the £27m-turnover third-party operator.
The manufacturer also sold the long-term lease of its 9,300m2 Lutterworth warehouse to Applied: 55 employees based on the site have transferred to the haulier, which is looking for other work to add to Sara Lee's from the same site.
