Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Truck drivers are being ripped off by Britain's in-cab phone suppliers, according to cellular telephone retailer Talkland, which says drivers are being overcharged by as much as .£20 a month on their mobile phone bills.

Talkland says that cellular phone firms are not legally restricted to a rigid tariff, and many are taking advantage of this by putting up the price of calls, although most firms charge in half-minute units, others are charging by the mi nute, so a call of just over a minute is charged for two.

The company also claims that some suppliers charge customers every time they press the "send" key, regardless of whether a call is connected or not.

"This scandal could affect the whole mobile phone industry," says Talldand. "We advise people to stay away from very cheap cellular phone offers, as companies probably fund these offers with higher airtime charges."
