TRACK THAT TRUCK • A vehicle location system, which allows transport managers to track the progress of a truck to within 50 metres on a colour, computerised moving map display, is being extended by its manufacturer from the South East to cover 50% of the country.
Datatrak operates through a network of low-frequency transmitters, whose broadcasts are received and decoded by a locator unit in the vehicle. Customers can opt for a regional or national service.
