ERF appoints two new dealers

• UK heavy truck manufacturer ERF has appointed its first dealer in Eire and another in South Humberside and Lincolnshire.
The Irish dealer, Summerhill Commercial Repair Centre of Dublin, employs 30 and has its own machine shop. It also handles sales for Drum Engineering, Norde and Thompson tanker equipment. Its managing director is Tom Hendron, who is handling truck sales; workshop manager is Chris Watts, and parts manager is Peter McDonnell.
The company will be operating a 24-hour recovery service and plans to appoint other ERF service dealers in the Republic.
Thoroughbred Trucks of Grimsby is close to the A180. It has a seven-bay workshop, operates a 24-hour recovery service, and employs 25.
Managing director is Terry McVeigh; general manager is Paul Snell; and parts manager is John Turner. Sales are handled by Vic Gayler and Steve McCoy.
