• BRS Eastern has won a two-year, 2750,000 extension to its contract with Unipart subsidiary Edmunds Walker. It will supply eight new trucks, with drivers, to deliver goods to Edmunds Walker's 90 UK branches.
The vehicles involved are all Leylands: a 32-tonne Roadtrain tractor unit; four 13-tonners; two 16-tonners with tailifts; and one 7.5-tonner.
Edmunds Walker claims that 95% of all orders placed with the company by 18:00hrs will be received by 08:00hrs the following morning.
