GOOD MANNERS succeed where science fails to deal with spray from lorries, I conclude from tests by the Freight Transport Association at the Transport and Road Research Laboratory at Crowthorne. All the spray suppressants tried were disappointing, but the problem was reduced by the simple expedient of driving at a reasonable speed on wet roads and showing a little consideration for others.
