RICHARD GERLACH has been appointed group financial director of British Road Services.
Mr Gerlach replaces Trevor Lerman, who becomes NFC finance director UK. He joined the NFC in 1974 and was appointed financial director of Cotrali-Pickfords three years later. In 1979 he became financial director of the NFC's Tempco subsidiary, following which he became financial controller at NFC headquarters in 1981. He assumes his new position on October 7.
Mr Gerlach is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants.
