FORD led the field for commercial vehicle registrations in .1 with sales of 36 per cent of the 17,473 new vehicles. There was a 13 per cent increase in total commercial veh registrations over July 1977, and registrations this year already 14 per cent up on 1977. After Ford, British Leyland (BL Cars and Leyland Vehic sold 22 per cent of July's commercials, Bedford sold 19 per c. and Chrysler seven per cent. Chrysler's 1,160 sales included imports from Spain and France. As usual, Leyland was the top bus and coach manufactu with 88 per cent of the 517 vehicles sold. Top psv importer • Volvo with six vehicles compared to last year's four.
Overall, importers had a 17 per cent market share, compe toll per cent in 1977.
