Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A tyre shredder unit has been introduced by CAF Mechanical Handling Equipment. The totally enclosed unit is capable of reducing 6.70 x 16 tyres of 3041. diameter into 1,1-in. wide strips at a rate of 180 tyres per hour.

Access is limited to the loading gate only, the closing of which activates the work cycle. The gate can only be opened after the tyre has been reduced. The cutting is performed by hardened and tempered tool steel blades which can be replaced by unskilled labour. The shredded material is removed from the interblade spaces by steel ejectors to prevent blockages; the ejected material discharges into a steel funnel of appropriate length to prevent the operator being able to reach the cutting area.
