Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The British Standards Institution has published two revised standards which have been metricated and has also incorporated certain modifications.

One is BS 3492: 1972 — Electrically bonded road and rail tanker hose assemblies for petroleum products. This revision of the 1962 edition provides for three types of hose of varying nominal bore, 25mm to 100mm inclusive, used primarily for the loading and off-loading of road and rail tanker vehicles carrying motor spirit, kerosene, lubricating oils and fuel oils at temperatures up to 82 deg C with an ambient temperature between —25 deg C and -155 deg C. Price 55p.

The other is BS 3395: 1972 — Electrically bonded hose and hose assemblies for kerbside dispensing pumps. This revision of the 1961 edition covers hoses of 20mm and 25mm nominal bore intended for service at ambient temperatures between —25 deg C and + 55 deg C when dispensing fuels having aromatic hydrocarbon contents not exceeding 60 per cent by volume. Price 70p.
