Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• As a consequence of the recent sale by British Leyland of its 50 per cent holding in Crompton Leyland Electricars Ltd to the Hawker Siddeley subsidiary Crompton Parkinson Ltd (which held the other 50 per cent), the electric road vehicles operation at Tredegar, Mon, has been renamed Crompton Electricars Ltd. This company plans to continue "its traditional business of manufacturing electric milk delivery vehicles, municipal road vehicles and industrial trucks", together with other developments such as city centre electric buses, two of which are currently under supply to the DoE for trials in Sheffield and Liverpool.

A report earlier this week that an Australian city was interested in buying about 25 electric buses worth about £250,000 was later discounted by Hawker Siddeley. It is understood, however, that Australia is one of several countries interested in the project.
