Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The world's largest headlamp using a reflector and a single light source — this is the claim of Lucas which is introducing an 1 lin. circular headlamp for the Earls Court Show this month. Designed to take advantage of the large and generally flat frontal areas on present cab fronts, the FP1100 has illumination values at 15 Oft on the nearside kerb that are claimed to be about twice those of existing systems.

The lamp uses a pressed metal aluminized reflector and the replaceable bulb can be either 24v, 55/50 watt rating or 12v, 45/40 watt rating. The lamp, which is already available for right-hand drive application, will shortly be manufactured for left hand drive operation as well. The lamps conform to European standards.
