Wentworth, distribution director, Schweppes (Home) Ltd., for his paper "How to cut motor insurance and accident costs". Road Transport (Passenger) Medal: F. J. Lloyd, chief commercial and planning officer, London Transport Board, for "Planning bus services in congested cities". Dock and Harbour Authorities' Association Studentship: R. E. W. Butcher, BR Southern Region assistant divisional shipping manager (from Monday movements manager, Overseas Containers Ltd.), for "Containers—the common factor in transportation". Institute Student Medal: D. A. Hiron, BRS Parcels Ltd. clerk, for his paper "Transport policy in Britain—an analysis of present problems and policies". RHA Associate Membership prize for best performance by road haulier not securing first place in exam.: R. J. Gulliver, statistical assistant, Bulwark Transport Ltd. RHA Graduateship for best performance by road haulier not securing first place: A. M. Hodbod, BRS cadet.
R. A. Taylor, has been appointed a director of Eddison Plant Ltd. He holds similar positions in several other associated companies within the -BET Group and is a former passenger and freight manager of BR London Midland Region. R. J. French, general manager and director of Duple Motor Bodies (Northern) Ltd and Bifort Engineering Ltd. has resigned to take up a new appointment. J. R. Chisnall has been appormed managing director of both companies and an additional director of parent company Duple Motor Bodies Ltd.
R. W. Chadwick has been appointed ERF Ltd. commercial vehicles home sales manager. He was with Guy Motors Ltd. for 12 years. J. Riley is new assistant home sales manager and D. R. Bill, assistant export sales manager.
Tom Alton, managing director of Welders and Compressors Ltd., of West Hartlepool, has been appointed to the board of Northern Land Contractors Ltd.
