A FEW OPERATORS had felt it unnecessary to spend money on maintenance—but the law would catch up with them in a few months if they did not alter their ways, said Mr. M. F. Richards, divisional secretary of the Traders Road Transport Association. He was announcing plans for periodical vehicle inspections in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.
