Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I NC R EASES in rates for various traffics are still the subject of negotiation as a result of the recommendation by the Road Haulage Association's rates committee that a general uplift of 10 per cent. was justified by the Budget. Approaches have been made to organizations representing traders, city corporations. Government departments. Government-controlled boards a n d other bodies.

In some instances, members of the R.H.A. who carry Ministry of Food traffic have still not come to a satisfactory arrangement. Although adjustments have been made in respect of certain traffic, the Ministry has not agreed to a general increase on a percentage basis.

Hauliers interested in this type of traffic are advised to approach R .H.A . area secretaries, who will often be able to inform them of alterations in the old schedules of rates.
