We learn from Berlin that, with the object of preventing accidents, the Union of German Trade Associations is organizing a competition for the best device for use as a coupling between industrial motor vehicles and trailer& Three prises of £175, £105 and £70 respectively are being offered in connection with the competition and a committee of judges is being appointed to hold a series of tests of the competing couplings in Berlin on a date in October yet to be fixed.

The conditions state that, whilst couplings designed only for attachment to new vehicles will not be debarred, it is hoped that efforts will be made to enter devices capable of being fitted to existing vehicles.
