Some further interesting developments in eonnection with the use of motor vehicles are, we learn, being made by the Great Western Railway Co., Ltd. Following successful experiments at Jersey with a Bufford 15-cwt, platform trolley for the transport of goods between the steamers and warehouses, orders for two more vehicles have lately been plaeed—a second for 'Jersey and one for Cardiff.

The G.W.R. Co. have also recently acquired six Fordson tractors and twelve trailers, which, it is stated, will take the place of fifteen horses and a dozen horse-drawn vehicles. Two of the .tractors have been fitted with capstan attachments and are to be used for shunting purposes in small goods yards.
