Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Leyland Daf has launched an 11-tonne GVW version of the 45 Series to join the 6.2, 7.49 and 10-tonne GVW models.

Cummins B Series engines power all 45 Series models; the 11-tonner will come with 96, 108 and 119kW (130, 145 and 162hp) versions, badged 45.130, 45.150 and 45_160.

They will all use the ZF 55-42 five-speed all-synchromesh gearbox. Front and rear axles will be plated at 3,800kg and 7,500kg respectively, providing loading tolerance of 300kg. Specification is similar to the 10-tonner. The braking system for both models has been uprated with pillar design front discs and strengthened rear back plates. The 11-tonner also uses a stronger spring brake actuator on the parking brake. Top speed is limited to 96km/h (60mph) by a standard-fit road speed limiter.

Leyland Daf will continue to market both the 10-tonne GVW 45 Series and the 10.99-tonne GVW 50 Series, despite the apparent overlaps. Any changes to the model ranges will depend on market reaction to the new model.
