Keith Whittaker has joined Hertz Truck Rental as marketing manager from the marketing service department of W. S. Crawford Ltd. Mr Whittaker started his career with Unilever and spent 10 years in distribution, planning and marketing, including two years as distribution manager for a an associate company in a Sweden.

Henry L. Hahn, who has been with the York Trailer Co Ltd since 1959 and has held a number of posts including that of export sales when that department was a one-man outfit, has been appointed to a newly created position—export sales manager, Middle East. Grimwood have been appointed directors of Buliens London Ltd. Mr O'Neill joined Buliens in 1957. He is now responsible for depots in Mortlake Road, Kew, and Hornsey Road, N19. Mr Gnmwood became transport manager with Buliens' subsidiary, Venture Transport (Cricklewood) Ltd in 1968.• He is now responsible for Venture's depot in Colin Road, London, NW10 and for the Bullens London depot at London Road, West Mailing, Kent.

R. J. Hawkins, 30, deputy chief engineer of the Bristol Omnibus Ca Ltd, in December will take a new post as deputy chief engineer of the Birmingham and Midland Omnibus Co Ltd. Mr Hawkins joined Bristol Omnibus -from Yorkshire Traction as assistant engineer in 1969 and was promoted to deputy chief engineer last year, Kenneth WaHord', a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators, has been appointed independent chairman of the Joint Negotiating Committee for the road haulage industry in the Hull area which was formed three years ago to consider proposals affecting labour relations in the area. Mr Wa!ford's appointment which runs for a year, has been approved both by the RHA on behalf of 270 hauliers, and by TGWU and URTU representatives. Mr Walford is area manager of PD Pollution Control's Beatwaste industrial waste disposal service where he controls a 19-vehicle fleet.
