MR. W. LEESE has been appointed to succeed MR. J. FORSTER as general manager of the Trent Motor Traction Co., Ltd., when Mr. Forster takes up his post as general manager of the Northern General Transport Co., Ltd., on January 1. Mr. Leese is at present general manager of East Midland Motor Services, Ltd. His successor will be MR. S. J. B. SKYRME, at present chief engineer of the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd.

MR. R. L. ALLEN has become divisional manager of the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., responsible for branches in Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool. He was formerly Yorkshire district manager. MR. J. A. OWEN. previously north of England' district manager, has become divisional manager controlling Newcastle and the Stockton branches and the whole of Scotland and Ulster. MR. L. B. J. axis, former Bristol district manager, has taken charge of a division in the West Country. including Bristol, Plymouth, Cardiff and Swansea branches.

COMMERS AT BAGHDAD

AMONG the exhibits at the Baghdad Trade Fair, which opens on October 25, will be a range of Commer vehicles. These will include an Express delivery van, a light pick-up, a 25-cwt. van. 5-ton long-wheelbase and tipping models, a four-wheel-drive 3-tonner and a Commer-Beadle chassisless coach. A sectioned TS3 oil engine will also be on view.

140 MORE BUSES FOR DELHI

ORDERS have been placed for the delivery of 140 more buses for Delhi Transport Authority by the middle of 1955, by which time the fleet strength will be 400. The undertaking now carries 127,000 passengers and covers 24,000 'miles a day, compared with 62,000 passengers and 14,000 miles in 1948.
