Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DASED on the same principle as their successful farm-type grain-transport tanks,. N. Tamplin and Co., Ltd., Birdham, Chichester, Sussex, are now producing stronger and larger versions of the Graintanker for the road transport of grain in bulk. The containers can be carried on platform lorries and when not required for transport, they make excellent vermin-proof storage bins. They have waterproof canvas covers.

The tanks are constructed of steel. The main panels are interchangeable and form bays 2 ft. 6 in. long. The

number of bays can be varied to suit the length of available vehicles or to accommodate specified quantities. Builtin skids and lifting eyes facilitate handling.

Unloading is effected through simple traps in the bottom of the tank or through a rear discharge chute. The smooth, sloping sides ensure that the container is completely emptied. The position of /he traps can be varied and each has an operating handle with a catch to prevent opening during transit.

A completely enclosed unit has been constructed, but this version is not so adaptable as the open type, which can also be used as a lorry body and has the merit of being easier to clean.

A six-bay open unit, 1511. long, 6 ft. 6 in. wide and 5 ft. high, weighs about 11 cwt. and will hold 300 bushels of grain. The price with either a rear chute or three traps is £167. A similar-sized enclosed model weighs 12+ cwt. and the price is £197.
