Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

cement company Cemex has been averted by the firm's agreement to a 7% pay deal.

The dispute overpay and alleged administrative blunders led the drivers' elected representative to threaten strike action.

After Mick Binns, of MB Driver Services said a series of one-day stoppages would take place, Cemex warned that any industrial action would be a breach of contract.

But now a company spokeswoman confirms that a two-year deal has been thrashed out with the ready-mix concrete subcontractors: -Both parties have also agreed to review the current payment system in favour of a simplified structure that will ease the administrative burden, improve delivery efficiency and reward productivity.

"The agreement was reache, through constructive dialogu between Cemex and its haulie representatives," she adds.

-It also paves the way for modernisation of the independen haulier models.

She concludes: "Cemex contin ues to see independent haulage a a fundamental part of the busines and will continue to work wit drivers to improve efficiency, flex ibility and responsiveness to th benefit of customers."
