areth Kaye has joined Imperial Commercials in the new post of group van sales director.The company says ppointment reflects the importance of van to the group — Kaye will report directly to mar aging director Ian Oakes.

Kaye previously worked for Pendragon in van sales and franchise roles, most recently as sales team leader in the Chatfields Truck Division. He also has seven years' van experience with LDV,including dealer development and fleet sales.

"LDV and Fiat Professional are growing in the light CV market, and we plan to grow with them,he says. "My role is to ensure that Imperial ommercials improves its facilities and pro sses so it can always add value to his sale customers' businesses.Van buyers have become increasingly sophisticated and Imperial wants to be at the forefront of a changing business."

Oakes agrees: "We represent LDV in 13 of our 24 dealer sites, and we've recently taken on Fiat Professional in Glasgow and at the brand new Imperial Commercials dealership in Frome. Van sales and servicing are already a vital part of the business, and Gareth will now provide the impetus and enable us to expand in this sector."

As well as Fiat Professional and LDV Imperial Commercials has franchises for DafTrucks,Hino, Isuzu Trucks, MAN-ERF and Renault Trucks. •
