• Asbestos-free brake linings for Renault's G and R range vehicles are now available from the company's national parts centre at Elmdon.
For 150mm-wide linings the part number is 5430027214 and for 157mm-wide linings it is 5430027215.
The new materials are a direct replacement for existing 19mm linings only, with no other adjustments necessary.
Asbestos-free linings do not have the hazard warning markes on them. If there is any marks on the lining it must be treated as being potentially hazardous. • Two new MAN Volkswagen truck and van centres are opening in the North West. They are Leyfield in Runcorn and LCW in Blackburn.
Leyfield (a former Leyland service dealer) is an associated company to Mainland Car Deliveries (MCI)). Its workshops are located alongside the delivery company's Runcorn depot and has 18m-long (6 Oft) inspection pits to accommodate the delivery of the company's car transporters.
LCW has been an MAN VW dealer in Halifax since 1980 and has opened a new branch in Blackburn.
