• West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority's first chairman Ur Michael Simmons, has resigned after more than four years to be replaced by Cllr Mick Lyons.
Simmons was also the trade union-backed director of Yorkshire Rider and felt that his company's proposals for Rapid Transit in Leeds would conflict with his position on the Transport Authority.
