Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bendix has launched a brake fluid tester capable of evaluating the fluid in the master cylinder reservoir. The hand-held tester's probe is dipped into the reservoir and boils a minute sample of the fluid. A digital display shows the temperature at which the fluid boiled giving an indication of its condition.

Power for the unit is taken from the vehicle's (12v) battery and it can be used on synthetic fluids to DOT three, four or five specification.

BENDIX 140 Testing brake fluid in the reservoir with the Bendix probe avoids mess and the possibility of getting air in the system.
