• The future of Bedford's Electric CF looks a little brighter after the recent decision to cease its production at the company's Luton van plant.
Bedford's parent company, General Motors, has reached an agreement with the American Electric Vehicle Development Corporation and the Electric Power Research Institute, along with the British Lucas Chloride EV systems and several other parties, which could lead to production of the CF Electric van (called the Griffen by GM) in North America in 1988.
