• Andy Jacobson, Ford of Europe's chief designer, is to replace Uwe Bahnsen as the company's vice president of design.
Jacobson joined Ford in 1965 and has previously worked at its North American, Australian, British and German centres.
He was directly involved with the design of the latest models of both Transit and Grenada, and worked closely with Bahnsen.
Batmen, who leaves Ford Europe in December, was responsible for the Cargo and new Transit models, as well as the Fiesta, Escort, Sierra and Granada car ranges.
