For Giltspur,

rRANSPORT Development 3roup chairman James Duncan ;onfirmed this week that the 3roup is going ahead with its !21.8m bid for the Giltspur iroup.

Giltspur directors have aleady described the offer as 'inadequate", but Mr Duncan ;aid it would be put to sharelolders as Maxwell Joseph, who )wns 4.3m Giltspur shares has already indicated that he would accept.

Mr Duncan said he felt the acvities of TDG and Giltspur are omplementary, and he added lat Giltspur would be given laximum autonomy under TDG ontrol.
