Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

-10 has the best bus or coach ery in Britain? We will know December 6 when we publish a results of our 1980 livery ,mpetition for passenger hicles.

CM launched this event three ars ago, and every year since e standard of vehicle livery has 'proved. Many of those enterg our event have the touch of e professional designer showg through. Just as many are e creative brainchild of the )erator, painter or driver. The prizes do not always go to

e mighty. In fact, the biggest impanies in the country have itered but have yet to win. What do the judges look for? A ce blend of colours and layout hich does not intrude on the wironrnent. A form of words at states the operator's case, :e "British and Continental our Operator telephone 23/4567". Use of lettering that consistent with the body line. The rules are simple and the -"try fee is nominal.

We require: Four 35mm colour transparenes showing both sides, full ont and full rear views of the ntry.

They should be accompanied y an official entry form (see this age) and a remittance of £5. They should reach this office o later than 12 noon on October 31, but we will accept entries handed to our receptionist up until 2pm on that day.

Helpful hints

Too many entries are spoiled through bad photography, so our advice is: use an experienced person for the photographic work. CM cannot supply a photographer.

Remember the judges are looking at the vehicle, not at the background, and they are quite unimpressed by any additional photographic aids.

If the weather is inclement, photographs taken inside a garage can be just as impressive as ones on the road — it's your livery the judges want to see.

The competition is open to operators, drivers, painters or designers; always with the owner's permission.
