DFFICERS of the Rhymney Valley undertakng in Wales have been initructed by the district ouncil to "investigate and -eport on the practical steps ,vhich would be involved in landing over the bus underaking to the National Bus Zompany". This resolution as passed by the council ast week during a week-long arike by the undertaking's 160 drivers and conductors. The strike was settled on Monday this week after the council agreed to drop its plan to pay drivers a fortnight in arrears. Instead, drivers will continue to be paid a week in arrears as at present. In return the crews dropped a demand for an annual £20 bonus.
