Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• What is claimed to be the latest outside broadcast unit designed in Britain specifically for full-colour operation has been delivered to Southern Independent Television. The unit is based on a Bedford VAL coach chassis and has bodywork built by Dell Coach Builders Ltd. of Southampton. which is specializing in vehicles for TV work.

The Southern TV unit is 34ft in length and the body incorporates a coach-style front of Plaxton Panorama I design. Glass reinforced plastics has been used extensively in the construction of the body, which is divided into three compartments—sound, production and visual control. This division is achieved by glazed sliding partitions so that the three areas can be separated or combined as required.

Control desks run down the centre of the vehicle with operational staff sitting down the nearside, facing monitors on the offside. Each unit has its own heater/cooler unit to afford precise area by area control of temperature.

Cost of the vehicle, fully equipped, is 250,000.

Other types of vehicle are in the planning stage, including power supply units, cable carrying and laying vehicles, general support tenders and a 75ft mobile camera tower to complete a full "Televehicle" range.
