riPERATORS wilI be able to lease Dyson semi-trailers without having the responsibility for maintaining them under a new Leasing-With-Maintenance scheme launched by R. A. Dyson and Co. Ltd. in conjunction with United Leasing Corp. Ltd. As well as taking care of the maintenance, Dyson will also supply a replacement in. the event of a breakdown and service agents in various parts of the country will ensure maintenance facilities are readily available.

For some time, Dyson has offered leasing facilities for its products, current rates per month per £1,000 capital cost being £29 10s., £23, £19 and £17 for 3-, 5and 6-year terms respectively. To inaugurate the new scheme Dyson will offer Aeroride tandem-axle semi-trailers to selected operators for a three-year period on Leasing-With-Maintenance at the same basic rental as normal leasing— £29 10s. per £1,000.

Bonallack Buys Mann .Egerton Body Business

'THE bodybuilding and vehicle refrigera tion division of Mann Eg:rton And Co. Ltd. has been acquired by Bonallazk and Sons Ltd. A new company, Bonaliack Mann Egerton (Refrigerated Vehicles) Ltd., is being formed with Sir Richard Bonallack as chairman to combine the activities of the two concerns in this sphere.

Bonallack and Sons will manage the new company and will operate the coachbuilding and refrigeration works of Mann Egerton at Cromer Road, Norwich, with existing personnel. The reduction in manufacturing activities will permit Mann Egerton to expand the retail motor trade side of its business. NEWS IN BRIEF

New A.E.C. Assembly Plant: Marvex Commercial Co. Inc., of Manila, A.E.C. distributors for the Philippines, has now started assembling vehicles for use in the Islands. Previously only complete chassis were imported. New Petrol: Jet Petroleum Ltd. this week introduced a new standard-grade petrol known as Jet Thrift. Priced at 4s. a gallon retail in inner ipties,.it is rated at 90 octane.
