Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Midland Expressway, the operator of the M6 toil motorway, is to announce the cost for trucks using the 27-mile road next Tuesday (6 May).

Reports suggest that the charge for hauliers wanting to use Britain's first tel road could be £5. Gars would be charged £2. It is thought that these prices may be reduced at night.

"We don't approve of the toll in the first place," says regional director for the Road Haulage Association, Mike Farmer "But, clearly this part of the M6 is a nightmare and 15, if true, is lower than expected."

Hauliers interviewed by CM have generally agreed that E5 is a fair price to pay to bypass the heavily-congested MB around Birmingham (CM6-13 Mar).
