Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Since introducing its STP Hitch in April 1969, Slaven Transport Products has found that with certain types of operation of a fifth-wheel coupling, a release handle at the front of the unit is often more convenient. To meet this need, the concern has introduced the F Series.

In this latest model, the pull on the release handle undoes an independently sprung safety latch before releasing the locking mechanism; after pulling the handle, release of the latch is automatic.

All the features of the standard STP Hitch are incorporated in the new design and to facilitate spares, most replaceable parts are interchangeable with the standard coupling including the locking jaw, rubber bushings, pawls and pivots, etc. Cost of the F Series is only £2 more than the standard model.

Made by: Slaven Transport Products Ltd, Chadwick 1 03 /1 04, Astmoor Industrial Estate, Runcorn, Cheshire.

Price: £52.
