• Logistics group TDG has spent £22.5m on a Dutch company as part of an expansion programme in the Benelux countries.
The take-over of Transport-Centrale Gelderland (TCG) follows on the heels of two other acquisitions in the region: Van Straaten and Van den Berg.
TCG, which subcontracts all its transport operations, includes Unilever and Sara Lee among its customers.
TOG chief executive David Garman says: We are now one of the most sophisticated providers in the Benelux logistics market which is undergoing a rapid consolidation process. We now have an excellent platform for future growth both here and in Germany."
