Sales director Keith Duller says commercial vehicle sales have never really taken off at Ml's Rotherham site which was bought by Bristol and West Motor Auctions last October.
'"Ihe previous owners had no major commercial contracts, so the vehicles have always been sold alongside the cars. But we want to change that. By having one major event per month we will have more entries, more buyers, and vehicles will be sold more rapidly and for better prices," says Duller. "The new sale will be held on the first Wednesday of every month, starting on 4 April at 12.30hrs.
"Initially we are expecting an entry of between 100-150 vehicles, but judging by current trends I think the sale will grow steadily bigger. It will include all types of commercial vehicles — light vans, artics and trailers."
Since Bristol and West took over the MI site at junction 33, it has steamlined the management, installed a new phone system and computerised its operations, giving it direct links with the Bristol outlet.
