Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Central Motor Auctions is relocating one of its nine auction centres and completely refurbishing two others in a multi-million pound redevelopment package following a record year of trading.

The company has unveiled the terms of a rights issue to shareholders to raise 23.5 million for the project which also includes special facilities for commercial vehicle and plant sales.

CMA chairman Eric Myers, announcing a 29% increase in pre-tax profits from £1.26m to 21.62m, says although some parts of the UK economy are under pressure, prospects for motor auctions continue to grow.

The relocation involves CMA's Mitcham centre in South London, which will close down at the end of the year and move to a purpose-built three-storey complex on a fiveacre freehold site at Wimbledon.

Brian Carter, CMA's joint managing director, says: "As the first multi-storey vehicle auction facility in Europe, the Wimbledon centre will he able to handle more than 3,000 vehicles a week and will provide the most modern facilities to our fleet, trade and private customers based on 70 years of vehicle auctioneering experience."

Redevelopment is now under way at CMA Rothwell, near Leeds, following the purchase of an additional 10-acres of land.

The other centre being redeveloped this year is CMA Glasgow. The fully refurbished complex will provide two new auction halls, spacious parking, valeting and a cafeteria, as well as an area for commercial vehicles and plant sales.

Auctionecring on customer premises is an increasingly important expanding area of business according to CMA's OnSite Customer Auction division.

It's next big event will be on Saturday 10 March at 11:00hrs, at Mason Transport's Shrewsbury depot, Brixton Way, Harlescott. The company ceased operating following the death of Jeff Mason. The sale will comprise 12 commercial vehicles, including a 1988 Leyland Roadtrain, seven bulkliquid tankers and refrigerated box vans. There will be about 200 lots altogether.
