ERF contract five • ERF stands to lose 200 truck sales this year following its move into contract hire (CM 22-28 February). John Goodreid, managing director of contract hire specialist Intertrail, says his company originally planned to buy 200 ERFs this year but he is not prepared to buy from a contract-hire company.
Testing times • A disappointing response to the Vehicle Inspectorate's pilot Saturday testing scheme means it will only be extended until April, and not July as planned. The VI will then decide whether to make Saturday testing permanent.
