Al convicted of
handling stolen lorries will have his five-vehicle licence revoked unless he replies within two weeks to a letter from the North Western Traffic Area. Eric Thomasson, of Lower Barn Farm, Castle Hill, Hindley, failed to appear at disciplinary proceedings before North Western LA Martin Albu. In October, Thomasson was found guilty at Liverpool Crown Court of handling a stolen Bedford TK boxvan and Scania 112 tractor unit whose trailer was loaded with coal. He was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment, six of which were suspended (CM 12-18 October 1989).
