• A bus driver formerly employed by Clayton Jones has admitted assaulting a rival driver from National Welsh Omnibus during a confrontation at a bus stop in Pontypridd.
At Merthyr Crown Court Terence Stowe admitted boarding a National Welsh bus at a laybv and pushing its driver, William Parsons. He was bound over for 12 months and ordered to pay 50 compensafion and prosecution costs of £120.
Judge Dewi Watkin Powell said that such incidents on bus routes had to stop. The case was the result of competition between two bus companies, but this was no excuse.
