• Swift Transport Services has won a £3.8 million contract to distribute parts from Massey-Ferguson's parts operation in Manchester, to dealers throughout the UK.
To operate the three-year contract, 35 new vehicles have been bought, liveri, A predominantly in Swift cob o irs. The El million delivery comprises 28 Leyland Daf 7.5-tonne Roadrunners, seven Volvo 32tonners and 10 trailers.
Daily orders are sorted at Trafford Park in Manchester into vehicle routes and sequenced for the other depots involved — Motherwell, Wakefield, Northampton, Gloucester and Maidstone.
