His company, Human Factors (UK) of Henley-in-Arden, has seven consultants and five associates, all psychologists and/or management experts. "We are small but we actually make things happen," says Atkinson.
In addition to its work for In terleasing, Human Factors has also worked for organisations such as Barclays Bank, IBM, ERF, West Midlands Police and W. H. Smith.
Management recruitment and selection is just one of its activities. It also provides management development courses, potential assessment, training and organisadon analysis. The common link between all these is the importance of the individual_ Says Atkinson: "In almost every industry and company 80 per cent of the problems are caused by human error. Our role is to improve the performance of the organisation through the individual."
