ROD SCRIBBINS has succeeded Mark Skipwith as managing director of Lowfield Distribution.

Scribbins, who has been with Lowfield for five years, joined the company as operations developritent manager and since May 1985 has been technical services director. He also had responsbility for computer services and transport.

Before that, he was a distribution consultant, having also worked with Proctor and Gamble and Avon Cosmetics.

Skipwith has moved to another Imperial Group sub sidiary, Ross Produce, as its managing director.

At Lowtield, Scribbins has overall responsibility for a network of 16 distribution centres, a workforce of 1,200 and a fleet of more than 400 vehicles.

His appointment took effect from February 10.

• Lowfield Distribution has appointed Alan Evans as general manager of its Tamworth distribution centre. He moves from Lowfield's Middleton distribution centre, where he was involved in contract work.
