A 12-YEAR-OLD girl now claims the record for being the youngest holder of a certificate of professional competence (CPC).

Catherine Scarborough, aged 12 years and three months, passed the PSV national examination on her second attempt after attending Friendberry's five-day course at the Rank Organisation's Leisure holiday camp in Somerset.

According to Friendberry, her achievement beats that of the previous youngest, 16year-old Kevin Plews of Hews Brothers, of Shropshire.
